Managing Work Stress

While the causes of workplace stress differ from worker to worker, experts agree that it is the things we can’t control that cause the greatest amount of stress. To help manage your workplace stress:

  • Create a “to-do” list to help plan and prioritize your work.
  • Set realistic deadlines.
  • Consider alternatives designed to save time and money, such as outsourcing projects.
  • Break larger tasks into smaller, more doable steps.
  • Take a break. Taking a walk or discussing your work situation with a co-worker may help you to gain a fresh perspective. Or, schedule a vacation recharge.
